We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine and special CT procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and adhering to radiation safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including common and special CT exams, to produce high-quality images for accurate diagnoses.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic or special procedures, including sterile technique, and provide accurate explanations and instructions to patients and family members.
- Proactively assess, identify, and respond to patient needs to optimize patient care, image quality, and patient experience.
- Modify technical factors to achieve desired imaging results and recognize complications and limitations associated with certain procedures.
- Follow safety standards and conduct all imaging procedures accordingly, using ALARA principles to protect patients, staff, and the general public.
- Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section.
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) or Temporary State Licensure (CMRT-Temp) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.
- Strong interpersonal and team player skills with all levels of the healthcare team and ability to adapt to multiple ongoing priorities with minimal supervision.
