Job Summary:

As an Environmental Operations Specialist at Clean Harbors, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our refinery plant. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and controlling the refining/processing equipment, sampling process streams, and assisting with tank farm operation. Additionally, you will gauge all process tanks every hour, complete tank transfers to control inventory, and obtain routine process samples to verify product quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes to ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority.
  • Assist with tank farm operation and sample process streams.
  • Gauge all process tanks every hour and complete tank transfers to control inventory.
  • Obtain routine process samples to verify product quality.
  • Switch and change process filters as needed.
  • Assist other operators with daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Complete housekeeping tasks within the refinery to maintain a safe and clean work environment.


Requirements:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of production/manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 6+ months of refinery operations experience is an asset.
  • Previous forklift and man lift experience is an asset.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow direction and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
