Pulmonary Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Pulmonary Care Specialist to join our team at Airobics Pulmonary Rehab. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate individual to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. You will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders, as well as developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Initial Assessments: Perform thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status, including vital signs, lung function, and oxygen saturation levels.
- Treatment Administration: Administer respiratory therapy treatments, such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation, as prescribed by physicians.
- Patient Progress Monitoring: Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment, making adjustments as necessary in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educational Support: Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment options, and self-management techniques.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all respiratory equipment is maintained, sanitized, and functioning properly; troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Education: Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Credentials: National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
- Experience: Experience in a clinical setting (hospital, outpatient, or home health) is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members. Proficiency in using respiratory therapy equipment and technology.
