Job Description:

The CT Scan Technologist is responsible for performing computer tomography procedures and related techniques, producing high-quality images for interpretation and assisting with interventional and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs complex CT procedures, utilizing professional judgment to review and obtain patient clinical history.
  • Prepares, screens, and reviews the accuracy of the contrast questionnaire with patients and/or family members.
  • Identifies and/or administers contrast media related to CT exams as prescribed by licensed practitioners.
  • Reviews patient prescriptions to verify appropriateness of exams and communicates with Radiologists and Referring Physicians as needed.
  • Verifies insurance authorized exam scripts and sends exam modification forms to Finance for re-verification.
  • Obtains outside studies (CD) and schedules them in EPIC for comparison by Radiologists.
  • Provides exam copies to patients and requesting physicians and/or family members.
  • Evaluates radiographs using PACS System to ensure proper identification and diagnostic value.
  • Uses consistent and appropriate techniques to gather relevant information from medical records, significant others, and healthcare providers.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program.
  • NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License.
  • ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ARRT certified R.T. (CT) license preferred.
  • Six months CT experience preferred.
Work Schedule:

Thursday - Sunday 9:30 PM - 8:00 AM 4 x 10 hour shifts Holidays Required No On-Call
