At First Student, we prioritize the safe transportation of students and passengers. As a part-time school bus driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being of our passengers.

About the Position

Our team of professional drivers is dedicated to getting students to and from school safely. We utilize industry-leading technology to guide our drivers through their daily routes, providing them with the support they need to excel in this role.

In this position, you will be responsible for prioritizing vehicle maintenance by conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections. You will also provide support to students by assisting with boarding and exiting the bus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of students and passengers while on board
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure it is in good working condition
  • Provide assistance to students with boarding and exiting the bus
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Hold a valid driver's license for at least 3 years
  • Pass a drug screen and physical examination

As a safety-sensitive position, you will be subject to DOT drug testing. In the state of Washington, all technician and driving positions are considered safety-sensitive and are therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing.

Benefits

We offer a competitive starting pay rate of $26.00 per hour, as well as a $4,000 sign-on bonus*. Additional hours are available through extra charter routes opportunities. Our company offers flexible hours and paid holidays.
