About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Batching Operator to join our team at Niagara Bottling. As a Batching Operator, you will be responsible for batching activities as required by production demand, ensuring the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Precisely inspect, stage, weigh, and mix ingredients according to product recipes, collaborating with Quality Assurance Technicians on analytical results and making modifications or adjustments to batches as needed.
- Pre-weigh, blend, and liquefy components for beverage preparation, accurately documenting lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates on formulas per customer regulations.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation of batching equipment and fillers, operating forklifts to load/move various ingredients while following all safety procedures.
- Adhere to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations, maintaining general housekeeping and quality in all areas of batching, production, and assigned areas.
- Assist in other areas as required by plant supervision, consistently looking for ways to improve processes and contribute to the team's success.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of production processes and quality control.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly with management and employees at all levels, and adapt to changing situations.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and visually inspect product and materials.
- Forklift experience and a strong commitment to safety and quality are essential for this role.
