Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Richmond Community School District. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a critical role in supporting the communication needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose speech and language impairments in students
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy programs to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to implement therapy plans and provide support to students
  • Provide information and support to parents and families as needed
  • Supervise students and provide guidance and support as needed
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology
  • Certification of Clinical Competency as a Speech Pathologist
  • Current Michigan License in Speech Language Pathology
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Working Conditions

The Speech and Language Therapist will work in a school setting, interacting with students, teachers, and other school staff. The position requires the ability to sit for extended periods, hear conversation in a quiet and/or noisy environment, and tell where a sound is coming from and tell the difference among bells, buzzers, beeps, horns, etc.
