The primary objective of this role is to serve as the IT Project Management Leader, responsible for directing and overseeing all facets of the IT project portfolio lifecycle, encompassing planning, design, execution, and ongoing maintenance. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective delivery of IT projects that align with organizational goals and provide measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

The following responsibilities are typical for this position. These are not intended to be exhaustive or exclusive. Additional duties may be assigned.

  • Guide the planning, initiation, and execution of diverse, complex IT projects, adhering to set timelines and financial parameters.
  • Establish project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in partnership with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business strategies.
  • Create and sustain project plans, timelines, and budgets, tracking progress and managing risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including IT, finance, operations, and human resources, to gather requirements and facilitate user acceptance testing.
  • Engage with external vendors and consultants to leverage their expertise in IT projects and best practices for systems implementation.
  • Conduct regular status meetings and provide project updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Manage change requests and scope adjustments, assessing their impact on project timelines, budgets, and resources, and making recommendations for necessary modifications.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from implementation to post-launch support, including user training, documentation, and ongoing system maintenance.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and lessons learned sessions to capture insights and best practices for future IT initiatives.
  • Other technical, management, training, or related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) managing large-scale IT implementation projects, preferably in a multi-site or global context.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ERP systems and modules, including finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and human resources.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including expertise in project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and motivate cross-functional teams and promote a collaborative work environment.
  • Background in general systems engineering and administration is preferred.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on achieving results and driving continuous improvement.
  • Experience collaborating with ERP vendors, system integrators, and third-party consultants.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and/or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is advantageous.
