Job Summary

Christie Clinic's Department of Dermatology is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our team of medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up procedure rooms according to established standards
  • Assist Mohs surgeons with instruments and provide hands-on assistance during procedures
  • Dress and provide wound care instruction for surgery sites
  • Handle specimens for pathology according to prescribed standards
  • Assist Mohs surgeons during procedures and anticipate their needs
  • Take photographs of Mohs stages and label and organize them
  • Assist with lab/pathology processing of Mohs specimens
  • Support day-to-day dermatology patient flow
  • Perform medical assistant duties as required for non-Mohs patients
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • CST and CPR/BLS certification
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, stretch, and lift up to 75 pounds
  • Good hearing and vision, correctable to 20/20
  • Manual dexterity for operating office and surgical equipment
Working Conditions

Work is performed in a clinical office/medical spa atmosphere with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, hazardous waste, bodily fluids, and other waste common to a healthcare environment.

Requirements may include working irregular hours.
