Job Summary

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in our Head Start/Early Head Start Programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and track quality and compliance activities across assigned programs/sites, including education files, licensing requirements, referral systems, and ERSEA systems.
  • Assess curriculum implementation and provide CLASS observations for teaching staff as needed.
  • Perform internal audits of Head Start Management Systems, including Program Governance, Recordkeeping and Reporting, Self-Assessment, Planning, Fiscal, ERSEA, Communication, Human Resources, Facilities, Materials & Equipment, and Ongoing Monitoring.
  • Supervise the work activities of Quality Assurance Specialists and evaluate self-assessment results and improvement plans.
  • Assist in the provision of parent training and meet with site managers/liaisons to discuss compliance outcomes and new developments in the Head Start Program.
  • Generate and analyze reports to implement strategies for continuous quality improvements.
  • Prepare monthly narrative reports outlining compliance activities, concerns, and recommendations.
  • Work with staff to maintain an effective, informative, supportive, and inviting environment for staff, children, parents, and community volunteers.
  • Participate in strategic planning for quality assurance initiatives and maintain confidentiality with respect to HS/EHS children, families, and staff.
  • Attend training and workshops as directed and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Services, Human Services, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Two years of experience working in a social service or not-for-profit organization, one year in a supervisory or leadership position, relevant knowledge of Head Start Program operations, quality inspections, and auditing.
  • Experience with implementation of Corrective Action Plans and follow-up, computer knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of QA, and knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Successful completion of a Level II background screening, local criminal record check, and drug screening prior to hiring.
