Key Responsibilities of the Hypersonic Software Engineer Include:

  • Designing, developing, and testing a central Software System primarily using C++11.
  • Implementing agile methodologies to iteratively enhance and maintain the software, addressing bugs and integrating new features.
  • Supporting the entire software lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, and verification, collaborating with team members who specialize in various areas such as design, testing, and data analysis.
  • Acquiring and sharing domain knowledge and technical skills.
  • Maintaining a flexible work location, with the expectation of being on-site as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience with 2-7 years in the field.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. Citizenship is necessary for clearance.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team of developers, testers, engineers, and subject-matter experts.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with leadership.
  • Willingness to learn essential domain knowledge, tools, and technical frameworks as required.
  • Proficiency in Advanced C++ Development, including C++11 standards and advanced programming concepts.
  • Experience with concurrency, object-oriented programming, and class state management.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with Qt GUI Framework.
  • Experience with database management and SQL.
  • Knowledge of low-level programming concepts and communication protocols.
  • Ability to navigate and debug complex, distributed systems.
  • Experience with Linux development environments.
  • Cross-language proficiency in languages such as Python, Bash, and JavaScript.

Domain Knowledge (Preferred but not required):

  • Understanding of radar systems and data processing.
  • Experience with gun weapon systems and their management.
  • Knowledge of algorithm design and decision-making processes.
