Responsibilities:

* Design residential roof and floor systems and produce layouts
* Discuss changes and corrections with engineers, architects, and contractors
* Present and follow-up on new projects
* Perform job site inspections and produce materials lists
* Resolve architectural and design discrepancies and assist in the shipping department
* Adhere to local building codes when developing material lists and design layouts
* Provide accurate, timely, and thorough customer service while assisting customers as required
* Measure and scale projects on-site

Requirements:

* High School or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
* 1 year drafting experience in a construction or building materials-related industry required
* Proficient technical writing and communication skills
* Proficiency in AUTOCAD and ability to read technical drawings
* PC Literate with Microsoft Office products and other design programs
