Job Title: Travel Nurse RN PACU

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN PACU to join their team. As a Travel Nurse RN PACU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Job Summary:

The Travel Nurse RN PACU will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in the PACU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Kentucky.
  • 2 years of experience in the PACU or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in critical care and PACU.
  • Experience with ventilator management, medication drips, and arterial line management.
  • Experience with lumbar drains and EVD drains.
  • Experience with dysrhythmia identification.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • NIH Transplant experience (kidney and pancreas) preferred.
