Geologist Position

Spotts, Stevens and McCoy, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Geologist to join our Water Resources team. This individual will play a crucial role in protecting drinking water resources throughout Pennsylvania by supervising the development of new wells and collaborating with the SSM team to assist PaDEP in developing Source Water Protection Plans.

• Supervise field activities for the development and permitting of Community Water Supply Projects.
• Perform 3-dimensional groundwater modeling using MODFLOW, GMS, and GIS.
• Oversee well drilling, collect field data, and interpret subsurface conditions.
• Organize, write, and edit proposals, reports, and other technical documents.
• Mentor and manage junior staff for specific project assignments.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field of study.
• Professional Geologist certification in Pennsylvania.
• 5+ years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of technical software and GIS.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to execute technical analysis.
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and schedules.
• Ability to effectively manage team members.
