Counselor

Rockingham County, NC is seeking a skilled Counselor to join our team. As a Counselor, you will provide individual and family counseling to at-risk youth referred by the courts, law enforcement, and DSS. You will assess individuals experiencing behavioral health symptoms, monitor treatment, prepare and maintain files and records, and prepare reports.

• Provide individual, family, and/or group counseling on a daily basis in-homes, schools, or offices.
• Evaluate and assess the needs of children and their families; develop treatment plans; monitor treatment of clients.
• Educate clients and their families with regards to methods to assist them in making independent judgements in their lives.
• Makes referrals as appropriate to community and professional resources based upon the needs of the clients.
• Prepares and submits reports and other types of correspondence; prepares and maintains files and records.
• Collaborates with other agencies and professionals in providing comprehensive treatment for clients.

• Master's degree with coursework in psychology, social work, or related field and moderate experience in the care and treatment of children.
• Valid North Carolina Driver License.
• Professional licensure or pursuit of licensure as LCMHC, LMFT, or LCSW.
