Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Hematology/Oncology team at Tal Healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive adult oncology and hematology services in a warm and professional environment.
- Develop and implement patient education programs to support patients and their families in managing cancer and related conditions.
- Collaborate with Hematology/Oncology Attending physicians to manage the Infusion Center and provide high-quality care to patients receiving chemotherapy and blood products.
- Conduct screenings for various types of cancers in an outpatient clinical setting.
- Complete patient histories and physical exams, review laboratory results, and order appropriate tests to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Obtain informed consent for infusions and procedures, and monitor patients' pre- and post-procedure status.
- Collaborate with oncologists to develop care plans for patients and document patient information, orders, and ongoing evaluations.
- Ensure high-quality care and maintain standards, participate in daily rounds, and serve as a liaison to referring physicians and external transfers.
- Master of Science degree in Nursing - Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (preferred) or Family Nurse Practitioner, Doctorate of Nursing Practice preferred.
- Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner education program registered by the New York State Education Department.
- Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner from a New York State approved accrediting body – American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Current, unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse license and Nurse Practitioner license.
- Experience in Hematology/Oncology preferred.
- Previous experience working as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting, preferred, for at least four years.
- Seeking both experienced (2 years and above) and newly trained providers.
- Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or eligibility for registration.
- Active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or eligibility to enroll.
- BLS or ACLS certification required.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.
- Bilingual Spanish (preferred).
