Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Nitelines USA, Inc.

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician will assist the staff pharmacist in ordering, stocking, and dispensing of prescription and non-prescription medications. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the staff pharmacist in maintaining stock of up-to-date medications and checking for outdates per policy.
  • Maintain pharmacy areas in a clean and orderly fashion consistent with departmental safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist the pharmacist in preparing unit dose or pre-packaged medications.
  • Complete and maintain competency as indicated by the ability to complete the Pharmacy Competency Module.
  • Maintain the narcotics count and the needle and syringe inventories.
  • Perform audits of the Automated Dispensing System.
  • Participate in Improving Organizational Performance Data and Quality Assurance Activities as directed by the Pharmacist or HSA.
  • Administration of oral medications to inmates during scheduled pill lines.
  • Assist pharmacy staff with distribution of self-carry medications and perform minor clerical duties.
Requirements:
  • Must have completed a formal Pharmacy Training Program or on-the-job training with satisfactorily completed internship.
  • Must have at least 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
  • Have a current CPR certification.
  • Experience working in a correctional environment is preferred but not required.
