Job Overview:
The First Cook is responsible for preparing meals for patients, staff, and visitors, as well as catering for special events. This role involves supervising the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of customer service, and adhering to food production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner using established recipes, while fulfilling assigned cooking duties.
  • Ensure all food production is properly labeled and complies with HACCP regulations.
  • Monitor food preparation processes to reduce waste and manage portion sizes effectively.
  • Guide, supervise, and assign tasks to kitchen staff as necessary.
  • Act as a Supervisor when required and collaborate with management on menu adjustments.
Additional Duties:
  • Oversee food preparation to minimize waste.
  • Estimate food needs and manage portion control based on recipes.
  • Standardize and innovate new recipes.
  • Complete all mandatory training and fulfill departmental responsibilities.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) - Preferred
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience - Required
