About This Role
As a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse with TotalMed, you will provide specialized nursing care in pediatric acute care settings. Your responsibilities will include assessing, planning, and implementing patient care, collaborating with the PICU nursing team, and ensuring quality care delivery in PICU units.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assess patients' conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Support patients and their families emotionally and provide education on treatments and procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and ensure adherence to hospital policies and protocols.
Requirements
- Current RN license.
- BLS (Other certifications as required by the facility).
- 2 years of recent PICU nursing experience.
- Strong communication and adaptability skills.
