Boston Engineering Corporation is seeking an experienced Controller and financial leader to join our team. As a trusted advisor, you will lead the financial and human resources operations of our cutting-edge consulting company.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all accounting operations, including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger.
- Analyze financial data and present accurate and timely financial reports to senior management.
- Provide financial leadership for annual budgeting and planning by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating data.
- Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Oversee and manage month and year-end financial reporting close processes.
- Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions.
- Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements.
- Prepare for and coordinate audits, including DCAA audits and other government agency audits.
- Manage all human resources operations, including personnel, benefits, performance, and training.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, MBA or CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of accounting experience, 5+ years in a consulting organization.
- 4+ years managing staff.
- Government cost accounting experience required.
- In-depth knowledge of government contracting regulations, including FAR and DCAA requirements.
- Experience managing finance and contracts teams in accounting for projects according to FAR and DCAA guidelines.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Understanding of human resources and compliance.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in Unanet, ERP systems, and MS Office.
