We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at Brookdale Senior Living. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and patrol the community grounds and buildings to prevent and respond to any security incidents.
- Greets and monitors visitors and residents, logging all entries and exits.
- Responds to emergencies and reports any abnormal findings to the Executive Director or proper authorities.
- Locks doors and checks security of all doors regularly.
- Assists with disaster management efforts and activities during evacuations.
- Answers phone calls and responds to questions, directs calls, or takes messages as appropriate.
- Escorts residents and visitors to the parking lot during evening hours.
- May be required to handle leasing inquiries after hours and on weekends.
- Drives the bus or community vehicle as needed.
- Handles minor maintenance emergencies.
- Ensures the lobby and administrative offices are clean and neat.
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fire Safety and Basic CPR/First Aid training.
- Valid driver's license for positions requiring travel or transportation of residents.
This role requires standing, walking, sitting, and occasional weekend, evening, or night work. The Security Officer may be exposed to communicable diseases and infections, and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
