Position Summary:

To align with the growing electric vehicle industry in the U.S., CATK is in search of experienced and committed Production Quality Engineers to manage and enhance the quality oversight of our manufacturing processes. This position is crucial for executing quality assurance initiatives and fulfilling designated quality assurance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the quality management and control processes on the production line.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and effective execution of all quality-related tasks.
  • Supervise quality activities including Statistical Process Control (SPC), First Article Inspection (FAI), Manufacturing Execution System (MES) inspections, and error-proofing measures.
  • Assist in conducting various process audits, including Layered Process Audits (LPA).
  • Identify quality risks and initiate improvement actions.
  • Manage production process changes and ensure the successful implementation of response plans.
  • Provide training and support to enhance the skills of PQE technicians.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in production quality control or assurance, particularly within the automotive manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of battery operation principles.
  • Familiarity with communication faults and mechanical structure failures.
  • Expertise in product failure analysis techniques.
  • Proficient in quality analysis tools such as FMEA, FTA, 8D, Six Sigma, and SPC.
  • Strong analytical and data processing skills.
  • Proficient in standard office software applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain regular in-person attendance as required for this role.
  • Professional interaction with individuals from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to navigate work environments, including walking, standing, and climbing.
  • Flexibility to bend or crouch for inspections and troubleshooting.
  • Capability to lift and carry weights typically ranging from 25 to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional lifting of heavier items may be necessary.
  • Ability to work in various settings, including offices and manufacturing facilities.
  • Willingness to travel to different job sites as required.
