Nurse Practitioner

The Registered Nurse is a vital member of the healthcare team at Amberwell Health, providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with providers to deliver high-quality services. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assisting patients with all clinical services available at the clinic, including patient intake, documenting medical history, vital signs, preparing and administering injections and vaccinations, EKG's, performing CLIA waived lab testing, and performing additional medical services within the scope of practice of the RN.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtains, verifies, and records health history of patients.
- Gathers pertinent health data through physical assessments and biological samples.
- Collects specimens utilizing proper technique for laboratory analysis.
- Provides patient care as directed by physician or advanced practice clinician and makes skilled judgments based on patient presentation and protocols in place.
- Documents assessments, interventions, patient/family interactions/responses, medications dispensed/prescribed, and test results in medical record.
- Assists other healthcare professionals in performing exams, diagnostic procedures, treatments, and minor surgical procedures in the clinic setting.
- Ensures all patient information is in accurate locations of the patient chart for quality reporting and data extraction purposes.
- Coordinates and manages care of patients seen by provider, including following up and tracking testing, referrals.
- Stays informed of insurance requirements and guidelines for patient care, performs prior authorizations, and acts as patient advocate.
- Regularly monitors patients as appropriate to promote wellness and health maintenance, including preventative and chronic care.
- Participates in the development of the plan of care with other team members and safely implements that plan.
- Promotes wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating provider advice/instructions.
- Schedules, coordinates, and communicates referrals to specialist and services ordered by the provider.

- Experience:
- Minimum Required Experience: clinic experience with all ages.
- Preferred Experience: Two to three years.
- Education:
- Minimum Required Education: Registered Nurse or Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree.
- Licenses:
- Minimum Required Licenses: Kansas Licensed Registered Nurse.
- Preferred Licenses: N/A
- Minimum Required Certifications: CPR Certification
- State License:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
