We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of inspection and repair procedures on revenue and non-revenue equipment or vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform Scheduled Inspections: Conduct detailed inspections of units, components, and parts for wear, damage, and service reliability. Replace or repair defects and carry out preventive maintenance according to procedures.
- Repair and Maintain Vehicles: Replace various fluids and filters, lubricate chassis, adjust brakes, and perform safety checks on vehicles. Report any defects and check body lights, signal systems, etc.
- Troubleshoot Complex Issues: Diagnose problems in air, electrical, hydraulic, or mechanically operated systems and perform road tests on vehicles.
- Diagnose and Repair Systems: Diagnose, repair, and rebuild air conditioning, wheelchair units, and systems. Change mounted tire/wheel assemblies.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Certification: Automotive Certificate from an accredited school with two years of directly related work experience or four years of directly related work experience within the past ten years.
- Licenses: Valid Class 3 Pennsylvania State Inspection License, EPA Section 608 Technician TYPE II Certification, and a valid PA Driver's License, Class C.
- Additional Requirements: Obtain and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License, Class B with air brake restriction removed and P endorsement within 90 working days. Successful completion of job-specific training, as required.
This is a Safety Sensitive position subject to all testing provisions under the Drug and Alcohol Policy, including random drug and alcohol testing.
