Paralegal - S3 (Onsite)

Citizens Property Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our team in a Litigation Support role. As a Paralegal, you will assist and work under the supervision of litigation counsel in the handling of first-party property insurance related litigation.

• Gather and organize evidence, documents, and exhibits.
• Conduct online searches, including those relating to properties, business organizations, permits, court dockets, and records.
• Prepare written discovery requests and responses for approval by litigation counsel.
• Prepare deposition and trial notebooks.
• Prepare notices and certificates as required under the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Prepare summaries of depositions and discovery responses.
• Assist in the preparation of pleadings and motions.
• Assist in trial preparation, including organization of exhibits and preparation of demonstrative exhibits.
• Draft subpoenas for approval of litigation counsel.
• Prepare standard settlement and case closing documents for review and approval by litigation counsel.
• Assist litigation counsel in the preparation of required reports to Claims Litigation.
• Ensure that Citizens are notified of all critical deadlines and events.
• Prepare initial drafts of witness and exhibit lists.
• Maintain litigation files and assist legal assistants as needed.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Associate/Technical Degree OR 4 years relevant experience, OR a combination of both college and experience equivalent to 4 years.
• 4+ years of relevant experience as a litigation paralegal.

• Experience in first-party property insurance claims.
• Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies.
• Experience in assisting attorneys at trial.
• Florida Notary Commission.
• Licensed Certified Paralegal or Registered Paralegal.
