System One is a leading provider of contract staffing solutions. Our client, a global food manufacturing plant in Stuarts Draft, VA, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year

Job Description

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in driving business performance by providing financial analysis and planning support to the Plant Controller. Key responsibilities include:

  • Plant Performance Reporting: Develop, analyze, and report on performance metrics, budgets, and outlooks to inform business decisions.
  • Financial Analysis: Identify trends, anomalies, and variances to optimize production processes and improve profitability.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with the Inventory & Accounting Analyst to manage raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, and MRO inventories.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts, including direct labor and variable overhead rates.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • SAP experience: Strong knowledge of SAP software and its applications in manufacturing accounting.
  • Advanced analytical skills: Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data to inform business decisions.
  • Effective communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, with advanced degree and/or certification (CPA, CMA, MBA) preferred.
