Parts Advisor

Job Summary

Tesla is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Advisor to join our service operations team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service centers by providing exceptional parts support.

Responsibilities

• Source and allocate parts from distribution centers and other service center locations to meet vehicle service appointment needs.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels within the parts system, communicating updates and availability to relevant team members.
• Review upcoming appointments and ensure they are properly prepared and documented in our system.
• Process and return warranty part shipments for quality assurance, including handling hazardous materials and high-voltage batteries.
• Receive, inspect, and put away stock and special-order parts.
• Evaluate and escalate parts issues from internal or external suppliers in collaboration with the Regional Parts Manager.
• Pick up and transport parts using a van or forklift, engaging third-party services when necessary.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Ability to thrive in a team-based environment and achieve common goals.
• Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office and able to communicate, read, and write effectively in English on all levels.
• Valid driver's license required, with the ability to obtain appropriate state licensing where applicable.
• Ability to perform repetitive duties, including regularly lifting up to 25 pounds, sitting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Specific vision abilities required, including the ability to identify parts, operate systems, and identify potential safety hazards in the parts department.
