Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital's 39-bed, 6 Medical Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Resident to join our team. As a RN Resident, you will participate in a year-long customized residency program that fits all of your needs. You will be paired with a coach that will mentor and guide your progress through the program. You will develop all the skills needed to perform your nursing duties at an optimal level.
Responsibilities- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
- Provide direct nursing care, alongside a coach, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care activities based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability.
- Initiate and/or maintain interventions to assure continuity of safe/effective care for patients.
- Respond to data indicating risk to individual's health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent the risk.
- Seek supervision, consultation, assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Comply with established hospital/department personnel policies.
- Use communication strategies in order to achieve desirable outcomes.
- Document in patient's medical record according to established guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- BSN preferred.
