Automotive Porter

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Service Porter to join our team at Sames Motor Company. As a Service Porter, you will be responsible for the movement of dealer inventory and customer vehicles, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our customers.

• Move vehicles from dealer service drives to repair bays and work with the detailing department to prepare vehicles for trade-in or delivery from auto manufacturers.
• Provide clean cars to customers after service, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles, as well as inventory vehicles to other locations and retrieve them upon return.
• Park and retrieve vehicles for customers upon delivery and drop-off, ensuring a safe and secure experience.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of service work areas, adhering to scheduled tasks.
• Attend all scheduled meetings and adhere to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license, ability to drive a variety of vehicle types, and insurability.
• Ability to communicate and understand English and Spanish, including reading and writing.
• Good customer service abilities, a polite and courteous manner, cooperative attitude, and team-oriented skills.
• Ability to identify, comprehend, and act on changing requirements, as well as work well under different environment conditions.

The Service Porter will perform physically demanding work throughout their shift, standing for six to eight hours or more and lifting equipment weighing up to 75 pounds. They may be exposed to dust, exhaust fumes, and hazardous materials. Evening, holiday, and weekend work hours may be required.
