Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN/Charge Nurse to join our team at Vitality Living. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Administration: Administer or assist residents with self-administering medications and treatments, ensuring accurate dosages and adherence to physician orders.
  • Specimen Collection and Transport: Collect, store, and transport specimens for laboratory studies, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Communication with Physicians: Effectively communicate with physicians via telephone, fax, and Physician Communication forms, ensuring timely and accurate exchange of information.
  • Chart Management: Ensure physician orders, laboratory reports, and other data are scanned and filed in resident charts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Service Plan Development: Assist in the development and revision of service plans, informing the Wellness Director of current resident needs and preferences, as well as successful service approaches.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as directed by the Wellness Director, supporting the overall mission and goals of Vitality Living.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Meet state or provincial health-related requirements.
  • Maintain current professional license and CPR certification if currently LPN/LVN.
  • Maintain any other certifications as required by state or provincial regulations.
