Job Summary
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Jefferson Health, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic procedures using radioactive materials and electronic imaging equipment. Your responsibilities will include preparing diagnostic imaging examinations, in vivo organ monitoring examinations, and in vitro examinations, as well as performing weekly calibration checks of scintillation cameras for quality control.

Key Responsibilities
Prepares diagnostic imaging examinations, in vivo organ monitoring examinations, and in vitro examinations using scintillation camera, scintillation detection scaler, rectilinear scanner, and clinical data system (computer)
Performs and quantifies dynamic tests such as radionuclide angiocardiography and coronary artery imaging studies
Prepares and administers radioactive agents by adhering to established procedures for preparation of kits and IV injection of agents to ensure accurate diagnostic testing/imaging
Assesses the appropriateness of requested exams by using pre-established guidelines to ensure that the exam is performed accurately the first time
Operates nuclear detection, imaging, and computer processing equipment for nuclear radiologic studies by following professional, hospital, and departmental protocols to provide the physician with diagnostic images to identify and/or plan appropriate treatment for the patient's condition

Requirements
Graduate of an appropriate Nuclear Medicine Technologist program
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine department
Nuclear Medicine certification by the ARRT and/or NMTCB
Ability to work independently and make independent decisions when necessary
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
