We are seeking a highly skilled Business Coordinator to join our team at the Virginia Department of Transportation. As a Business Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the department's business operations, ensuring the smooth execution of financial and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management: Assist in developing and monitoring budgets, ensuring compliance with state and departmental policies and procedures.
- Procurement and Contract Administration: Process and verify contracts, analyze contract documents, and ensure change orders are processed appropriately.
- Accounting and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, analyze financial transactions, and perform data reconciliations.
- Business and Administrative Support: Provide administrative support services to assigned program areas, including coordinating business functions and managing records.
- Program Analysis and Reporting: Research and compile data, prepare reports and presentations, and provide recommendations for program improvement.
