Job SummaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as an assistant toddler teacher for our 2-year-olds classroom. This is a full-time position (40 hours a week, 8 hours a day) Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities- Assist the lead teacher with classroom management, lesson plans, and classroom environment
- Assist in diaper changes and potty training
- Be an observant and engaged educator
- Daily cleaning of classroom and general housekeeping
- Assisting in other classrooms as needed
- Working in a community amongst all classes
- Attend occasional mandatory trainings
- Supervise the children you are with
- Assist during meal times
- Helping children problem solve and conflict resolution
- Teaching children how to effectively express emotion in a positive way
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Reliable transportation
- Open to learning about emergent curriculum
- Experience working with young children (preferred)
- Ability to work well with others
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to attend required trainings
- Great communication skills
- Compliance with licensing requirements for TB testing
- Willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the center's philosophy and mission
- Willing to work with children of all needs
- Eager to be a lifelong learner and a team player
- Must be able to spend time outdoors
