AdeIphi MedicaI Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Professional to join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Norristown, PA. This contract/travel position offers an attractive salary and the opportunity to work with a dedicated healthcare team.
Job OverviewThis LPN role involves delivering high-quality patient care under the guidance of RNs or physicians, encompassing medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer prescribed medications, and maintain detailed patient records.
The ideal candidate will have valid and active LPN state licensure, BLS certification, and excellent communication skills. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to stay current on nursing best practices, regulations, and advancements through ongoing education and training.
Responsibilities- Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, involving physical exams, medical histories, and medication reviews.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments meticulously, ensuring accurate dosing and adherence to established protocols.
- Evaluate, clean, dress, and manage wounds, incisions, and injuries while actively monitoring for infection or complications.
- Continuously monitor and document patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Maintain precise patient records, recording changes in their condition, administered treatments, and medication management.
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions, prescribed medications, and self-care practices.
- Administer and closely monitor IV medications and fluids, ensuring proper insertion and functioning of IV lines.
- Care for patients with urinary catheters, including insertion, routine maintenance, and diligent monitoring.
- Collect patient samples for laboratory testing and analysis.
- Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Valid and active LPN state licensure.
- BLS certification.
The estimated salary for this position is $1,309/32 hours (travel rate) or $1,110/32 hours (local rate), depending on your location and experience.
