Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Plumber to join our team at Upchurch Companies. As a key member of our plumbing team, you will assist in the installation and repair of water supply lines and drainage systems, ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install plumbing systems, including various components, threading styles, and materials.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pipe and pipeline systems, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Review and implement plans based on blueprints and building codes to determine optimal work procedures.
  • Maintain and repair septic and commercial sewer systems, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Prepare written work cost estimates for clients, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Test and gauge pressure for indications of leaks or blockages, detecting and responding to problematic conditions.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in plumbing, maintenance, or a related field.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics, demonstrating spatial reasoning.
  • Ability to handle physical workload, working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
