Certified Peer Support Specialist Behavioral/Substance Use Specialist

At Southeastern Integrated Care LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Peer Support Specialist to join our team. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing coaching, mentoring, and consultation to individuals struggling with behavioral health disorders and substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide manualized interventions, such as Wellness Recovery Action Planning or Illness Management and Recovery, to promote wellness management strategies.
- Assist beneficiaries in developing psychiatric advance directives.
- Assist with behavioral and substance abuse treatment interventions.
- Model recovery values, attitudes, beliefs, and personal actions to encourage wellness and resilience.
- Provide consultation to team members to assist in understanding of recovery and the role of the Peer Support Specialist.
- Participate in the initial Person-Centered Plan and its ongoing revisions.
- Support and empower individuals to exercise their legal rights within the community.
- Represent the company in a positive manner, reflective of the company's mission, at all times.
Requirements:
- Must possess a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the population served.
- Certified Peer Support Specialist.
- Valid driver's license.
- North Carolina Peer Support Certification, current certification must be maintained.

Must be able to drive and operate a personal vehicle safely and adhere to all applicable state and traffic laws.
