Job Title: Peer Support Specialist

At Southeastern Integrated Care LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Peer Support Specialist to join our team. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing coaching, mentoring, and consultation to individuals struggling with behavioral health disorders and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide manualized interventions, such as Wellness Recovery Action Planning or Illness Management and Recovery, to promote wellness management strategies.
  • Assist beneficiaries in developing psychiatric advance directives.
  • Assist with behavioral and substance abuse treatment interventions.
  • Model recovery values, attitudes, beliefs, and personal actions to encourage wellness and resilience.
  • Provide consultation to team members to assist in understanding of recovery and the role of the Peer Support Specialist.
  • Participate in the initial Person-Centered Plan and its ongoing revisions.
  • Support and empower individuals to exercise their legal rights within the community.
  • Represent the company in a positive manner, reflective of the company's mission, at all times.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the population served.
  • Certified Peer Support Specialist.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • North Carolina Peer Support Certification, current certification must be maintained.

Must be able to drive and operate a personal vehicle safely and adhere to all applicable state and traffic laws.
