Premier Subaru of Fremont is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Custodian / Maintenance. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our building and property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all basic janitorial duties at work sites.
  • Keep building and property in clean and orderly condition.
  • Scrubs, sanitize and supply restroom facilities.
  • Gather and empty trash bins.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, or vacuum floors.
  • Dust furniture, walls, and equipment.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other cleansers.
  • Mix cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions.
  • Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture.
  • Ensures that all OSHA standards are being met, and that Material Safety Data Sheets are properly displayed and maintained at all sites.
  • Wears proper Janitorial uniform and serves as model of professional standards.
  • Notifies manager of the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Assist with event set up and break down as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
  • 2 years of experience in Event Utility/Cleanup Crew.
  • Practice and knowledge of safe work practices.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry a plus.
  • Must be a proven initiative-taker capable of finding solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Extended periods of driving.
  • Frequent standing, walking.
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, climb stairwells.
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver a minimum of 55 lbs.

  • Competitive compensation plan based on experience with an hourly compensation range of $23.00 to $25.00 per hour.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, overnights, weekends and/or holidays as dictated by the events schedule and seasonal changes.
