About the Role

Amentum is seeking an experienced Operations Research Analyst III to join our team and contribute to the success of our Navy customer. As a key member of our systems engineering team, you will play a critical role in implementing our customer's systems and technical engineering services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis and Modeling: Collect and analyze data to evaluate operations and processes, and facilitate complex decision-making.
  • Systems Engineering: Follow established modeling and evaluation methodologies to determine the effectiveness of current operational activities, isolate problem areas, and develop solutions.
  • Model Testing and Validation: Test and validate models and results to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare reports that outline and rank proposed solutions and present a range of possible alternatives.
  • Project Contribution: Contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project, working independently and collaboratively as needed.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field, and at least six years of full-time professional experience in operational analysis, evaluating systems and proposed solutions, analyzing and documenting business processes and workflows, and using industry-standard methods and models for determining solutions.
  • Alternative Qualifications: Associate's degree in mathematics or a related field, and at least eight years of full-time professional experience in operational analysis, evaluating systems and proposed solutions, analyzing and documenting business processes and workflows, and using industry-standard methods and models for determining solutions. At least two years of experience must be full-time, and experience with Navy Training Systems is required. Education may be substituted by this same experience.
  • Clearance: Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
