Position Summary

Role Summary: The Nurse Supervisor plays a pivotal role in applying management principles and nursing philosophies to guarantee high standards of patient care. This position encompasses administrative responsibilities to ensure the seamless operation of hospital functions. The Nurse Supervisor employs the nursing process to ensure continuity and excellence in care for a designated group of patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A foundational understanding of nursing is essential. A Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, or psychology is preferred. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years in a Staff Nurse role, with experience as a Charge Nurse or Assistant Nursing Manager, is preferred to develop the necessary skills and knowledge for this position.
  • Licensure: A current Registered Nurse license in New York State is required.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with standard hours of 36.00 per week. The work schedule includes night shifts, specifically three 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with alternating weekends and rotating holidays.
