Job Summary

C0044 FPN Lafayette is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in the OBGYN department. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound exams to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various obstetric and gynecological conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound exams on patients to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, including GE machines, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of obstetric and gynecological anatomy and pathology to provide accurate and reliable ultrasound images.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest ultrasound technologies and techniques.
Requirements
  • ARDMS registered in OBGYN
  • 5 years of experience in ultrasound imaging, preferably in an obstetric and gynecological setting
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound principles and techniques, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester ultrasounds, BPPs, pelvic US, and SISs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
