Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Houston Methodist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients, including administering medications, performing diagnostic tests, and monitoring patient progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Perform diagnostic tests, such as spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to physicians
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on respiratory health and disease management
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • State licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
