Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $1360 per week, with the potential to earn up to $250 per quarter in safety bonuses. Additionally, Ryder offers a sign-on bonus of $1000 at 30 days and $1000 at 90 days, as well as a shutdown bonus of $2000 in two installments within the first year.

About the Job

This dedicated solo Class A CDL driver position is available in Princeton, IN, offering local home daily routes with no touch freight. The ideal candidate will have strong backing skills and be able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading if required by customer
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide a valid Class A CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Have verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years, 5 years, or 10 years, depending on the specific requirements
