The ideal candidate for this position exhibits a strong dedication to high-quality service and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough cleaning of all assigned guest rooms following established Brand Standard protocols.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all items placed in guest accommodations.
  • Communicate the status of cleaned rooms to the Housekeeping Supervisor effectively.
  • Report any lost and found items to the Housekeeping Supervisor promptly, including the room number or area where the item was discovered.
  • Notify Maintenance and the Housekeeping Supervisor of any damaged or missing items.
  • Inform the Housekeeping Supervisor of any unusual circumstances, such as a lack of luggage in a stay-over room or damage within the rooms.
  • Restock housekeeping carts and supply rooms as necessary.
  • Assist with the washing, drying, and folding of linens and towels as required.
Safety Protocols:
  • Utilize all approved cleaning agents in a safe and proper manner.
  • Adhere to established key control and security procedures.
Work Environment:
  • Foster a positive work atmosphere by interacting and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with guests, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling soiled linens and cleaning materials.
  • Restock and maintain the housekeeping cart regularly.
  • Assist guests with inquiries and requests.
  • Comply with grooming and dress standards for the department.
  • Be prepared to execute hotel emergency procedures as needed.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned or directed.
  • Arrive punctually for scheduled shifts.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Language Proficiency: Must comprehend the proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals, as well as verbal instructions. Basic interaction with guests is required.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with safe handling of cleaning agents and procedures.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address practical issues and manage various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Additional Skills: Capable of operating equipment such as garbage disposals, vacuum cleaners, self-cleaning ovens, ice-makers, and dishwashers. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Vision: Must have adequate vision to read reports, drive, and operate a computer.
  • Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
  • Mobility: Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Physical Activity: Must be able to climb stairs, stoop, and kneel as necessary.
  • Lifting: Must be able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
