The Role
Tax Senior Managers with our State & Local Tax (SALT) practice will provide state and local property tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to multiple clients within various industries. You will work directly with the client, manage the tax engagement team, and be connected to a strong support system from firm Leadership.
Senior Managers can expect to:
- Engage in business development activities, such as preparing proposals and presenting in webinars;
- Provide guidance to clients on a range of property tax issues;
- Analyze property tax considerations and/or the potential impacts related to business restructuring or due diligence projects;
- Perform in-depth reviews of complex property tax returns;
- Assist with drafting and presenting new proposals to new and existing clients;
- Supervise, mentor, train, and evaluate Seniors, Associates, and Interns.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer competitive base compensation, a comprehensive benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics. For individuals hired to work in San Francisco, the expected salary range for this role is $177,100 to $229,500; the actual salary offer can vary based upon employee qualifications.

Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant work experience in an accounting firm, with at least 5 years of property tax experience and working with property tax assessors;
- Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field;
- Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service, such as a CPA or JD;
- Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment;
- Proficient use of technology.
