Recreational Therapist Opportunity

SSM Health Physical Therapy is seeking a qualified Recreational Therapist to join our team in Bridgeton, MO. As a Recreational Therapist, you will plan, direct, and coordinate recreational-based treatment programs for patients in Physical Therapy Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement appropriate recreation activities for patients in accordance with guidelines set by the organization, hospital, and the profession.
  • Provide therapeutic recreation intervention for an assigned caseload.
  • Orient all patients to recreation therapy and provide hospital-wide leisure, social, and divergent programs.
  • Serve as an educator to patients on community resources.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation required.
  • Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or eligible to take exam required.
