The Department of Veteran Affairs is actively seeking a full-time, board certified or board eligible Endocrinologist to enhance our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate should be Board Certified in Internal Medicine and have successfully completed fellowship training in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. Our institution is committed to delivering outstanding medical services to honor and support our nation's Veterans.
Candidates must possess an MD/DO from an accredited medical school, have completed residency training leading to board eligibility or certification, and hold an active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state. Preference will be given to applicants with recent clinical experience in endocrinology on a full-time basis within the past year.
Key Features of This Role:
- Competitive starting salary range: $225K - $275K
- Additional recruitment incentives available: $10k - $50k annually
- Standard work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
- Participation in rotating on-call shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Eligibility for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), pending approval
- Responsibilities include managing an endocrine/diabetic clinic, providing inpatient consultation services, and engaging in educational activities
- No formal Physician Employment Contract and minimal restrictions on additional professional endeavors
- Excellent work-life balance opportunities
The Department of Veteran Affairs offers a comprehensive benefits package for physicians, including up to 55 days of leave per year, affordable health, life, vision, dental, and long-term care insurance, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave, malpractice insurance with tail coverage, and more. Employment with federal institutions allows eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness after ten years of service.
