About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Geisinger Health System's Childbirth Center. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of care for patients undergoing surgical interventions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons with procedures related to patient care during surgical intervention
  • Coordinate treatments with other disciplines and provide basic patient assistance
  • Connect patients to clinical equipment as needed and maintain aseptic techniques while preparing for surgery
  • Actively participate in surgical time-outs and operating room briefings according to universal protocol
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in surgical technology, including:

  • Graduation from a specialty training program
  • A minimum of 1 year of related work experience (preferred)
  • Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)

Estimated Salary
