Job Title: Senior SQL Database Administrator

InterSources Inc, a Certified Diverse Supplier, is seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing reliable, cost-effective, and secure enterprise-wide support for business-critical production and non-production databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and upgrade SQL Servers, including applying service packs
  • Perform routine database maintenance, including creating and scheduling SQL Server jobs to perform database maintenance activity, rebuilding indexes, updating statistics, consistency checks, and monitoring error logs and event logs for database errors
  • Manage SQL Server security and auditing, including user security, database roles, authentication methods, SQL Server and database auditing, encryption at rest, transit, and backup
  • Capacity planning for storage and database objects, including maintaining and managing SQL Server disk space to ensure storage is properly utilized, index and statistics usage, and managing disk storage for Windows Failover Cluster Service (WFSC)
  • Database backup and recovery, including establishing standards and schedules for database backups, developing recovery procedures to meet RPO and RTO, and restoring databases with point-in-time recovery
  • Create and test disaster recovery plans
  • Proficient in TSQL coding, tuning, and ETL methodologies
  • SQL Server High Availability Methods, including mirroring and Always On
Requirements:
  • 10 years of experience as a Senior SQL Database Administrator
  • 8 years of experience in SQL Server 2016 or later
  • 6 years of experience in Windows Server Administration
  • Certifications
  • 24-hour support
