Veterinary Care Specialist

Key Responsibilities:- Support veterinarians in ensuring quality veterinary care and advocating for pets and their families.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state Veterinary Practice Acts.
- Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
- Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
- Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
- Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
- Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
- Outgoing and personable with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Empathetic and compassionate with at least 1 year of experience in a veterinary hospital.
- CA RVT license or actively working towards licensing.
- Knowledge of basic veterinary practices, procedures, and terminology.
- Ability to handle, lift, and restrain animals and stand for long periods.
- Ability to perform veterinary medical procedures and have basic organizational and computer skills.
