Overview

AEG is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Event Staff member to join our team. As an Event Staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of various events held at our venue.

Job Description:

We are looking for a customer-focused individual who can effectively communicate with guests, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills and be able to interact with all levels of staff, including management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for various guest relations activities, including greeting and directing guests, screening guests for prohibited items, securing areas, responding to emergency situations, and ensuring the safety of all guests. Additionally, they will be expected to have a full working understanding of the specific event post and possess the ability to communicate with patrons, anticipate problems, and provide solutions.

This role requires strong problem-solving and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and exercise judgment and initiative. The Event Staff member must also be able to maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and patrons
  • Ability to take direction from immediate supervisor and facility management
  • Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur
  • Ability to handle/resolve high tension situations and control "unruly" guests
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative
Benefits:

As an Event Staff member, you will be eligible for a competitive hourly wage of $11.50 to $13.00. You will also receive benefits, including a 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.
